UVB Light Therapy was pioneered by Professor Gunner Swanbek, one of the world's leading professors of Dermatology and internationally recognised authority on the subject and treatment of psoriasis. One of his discoveries was that it is specific narrowband UVB rays that is most successful in treating skin conditions.
His treatment aims to give only a portion of the UVB band of light (between 311 and 313NM) which is the portion that is most effective when treating psoriasis. UVB therapy has proven to be very successful in treating 92% of patients, with only mild burning in 9%. UVB Light treatment has been studied and used in hospitals for over thirty years.
